The Take Back Your Privacy Foundation is a non-profit foundation. The Foundation has an independent Board of Directors.
Friederike van der Jagt (chair)
Friederike van der Jagt is an attorney at Hunter Legal in Amsterdam. She previously worked as a privacy lawyer at the law firms Van Doorne and Stibbe and in the corporate world as Senior Legal Counsel Privacy at an international security software company. Friederike regularly publishes and speaks on privacy-related topics, is one of the editors of the journal Jurisprudentie Bescherming Persoonsgegevens, author of the Kluwer Theme Page GDPR and general board member of the Grotius Academy. She is a senior lecturer in the Grotius Specialist Course in Privacy Law and a lecturer in privacy at the Stichting Beroepsopleiding Bedrijfsjuristen. She is also an arbitrator at the Foundation for Dispute Resolution in Automation, a fellow at the Research Center Business & Law at Radboud University Nijmegen. She is also a part-time lecturer at the Open University. Friederike has extensive academic and practical experience in the field of privacy law.
Ben Baldwin (Secretary)
Ben Baldwin is a member of the management team at the Legislative and Legal Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Health. Ben previously worked in banking at GE Artesia Bank and ING, including as General Counsel and Head European Business Desk. He has also worked as an attorney at CMS and Lauxtermann Advocaten in Amsterdam, among others. As General Counsel, lawyer and legal executive, Ben has built up broad knowledge and experience in a variety of legal areas, including privacy, corporate governance, and compliance.
Steven Prins (treasurer)
Steven Prins has been active as a director and supervisor in the financial sector for more than 20 years. Steven is currently Managing Director at DHB Bank, where he is responsible for Legal & Compliance, HR, Credit Risk Management and Retail Business in Germany and Belgium. Previously, Steven was CEO of GE Artesia Bank and a manager at Rabobank International. His background includes business economics at the Hogere Economische School Groningen and a management course at INSEAD.
